Who we are

Bravura ("we", "us") is an online diary of professional classical, opera and dance performances. For any privacy question you can email bravuraliveUK@gmail.com.

What data we collect

• Account data — if you sign up: your email address and (for Google sign-in) your Google account ID and display name.
• Content you create — the lists and saved concerts on your account.
• Feedback — anything you send via the contact form.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, handled by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention. This is retained for a short period only.
• Advertising & measurement cookies — only if you click "Accept all" on the cookie banner. See the Cookie Policy.
• Data used for advertising — where you have accepted, Google and its advertising partners may process your IP address, device and browser information, approximate location and the pages you view on Bravura in order to select and measure adverts. We do not receive or store that data ourselves.

Lawful basis

• Contract — to run your account and save your lists.
• Legitimate interests — to keep the site secure and to reply to feedback.
• Consent — for advertising cookies and any analytics that requires them. You can withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Advertising on Bravura

Bravura is free to read and is funded in part by adverts served by Google AdSense. Adverts appear on the homepage, the diary, individual performance pages, guides and shared lists. Our About, editorial policy, contact and legal pages carry none.

If you click "Accept all" on the cookie banner, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to select adverts and to measure how they perform. Those adverts may be personalised — chosen partly on the basis of your browsing on this and other sites.

If you decline, no advertising cookies are set and any adverts you see are non-personalised — chosen only from the page you are reading and coarse information such as your country.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of processors to run the site. They only process your data on our instructions:

• Lovable Cloud / Supabase — application hosting, database and authentication.
• Google (AdSense) — advertising, only after you accept ad cookies. For advertising data Google acts as an independent controller, not as our processor, and its own privacy policy governs that use.
• Google Fonts — serves the display typefaces. Your IP address is shared with Google when the fonts load.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not send marketing emails.

International transfers

Some processors (notably Google) are based outside the UK/EEA, and Google's advertising partners are largely based outside the UK/EEA too. Where transfers happen, they rely on the UK's adequacy decisions or on Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, which removes your email, lists and saved concerts. Feedback messages are kept for up to 24 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Have inaccurate data corrected
• Have your data erased ("right to be forgotten")
• Export your data ("data portability") — signed-in users can do this from account settings
• Object to or restrict processing
• Withdraw consent for cookies at any time

Children

Bravura is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. We do not knowingly allow personalised advertising to be shown to anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
